NightOwl Consulting Philippines Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. You will perform precise estimates, material take-offs, and bid packages, while coordinating with General Contractors and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10 years of electrical estimating in the commercial sector, knowledge of NEC, and proficiency with Conest Intellibid. You will develop bids, change orders, and mentor junior estimators as needed.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of electrical estimating experience in the commercial industry.
• Proficient with producing detailed estimates, take-offs and bid packages.
• Knowledge of NEC, codes and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of estimating.
• Accurately take-off all material, lighting, and power from drawings.
• Consolidate data into the estimating software.
• Prepare detailed electrical estimates from limited design information.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor pricing.
• Determine subcontractor scopes and secure quotes.
• Develop bids and change orders; support the PM with cost data.
• Train junior estimators as needed.
• Maintain relationships with General Contractors.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team. Responsibilities include performing precise estimates, material take-offs, consolidating data, preparing detailed estimates, RFQs, vendor pricing, and securing subcontractor quotes. The role also involves developing bids and change orders, training junior estimators, and maintaining relationships with General Contractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of estimating
• Accurately take-off all material, lighting, and power based on specifications and drawings
• Consolidate data from take-off sheets into the estimating software program
• Prepare detailed electrical estimates based on limited conceptual design information
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor pricing
• Determine which phases or scopes of work will be performed by subcontractors, secure and verify quotes
• Develop bids and change orders, supplying estimated cost data to the Assistant Project Manager
• Assist in estimating training for junior estimators as necessary
• Develop and maintain relationships with General Contractors

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A minimum of 8-10 years of electrical estimating experience in the commercial industry
• Knowledge of Conest Intellibid Software
• Experience with preparing, completing, and reviewing complex estimates with senior management decision-makers
• Experience and strong knowledge in advanced construction estimating processes like structural, architectural, and mechanical documents and specifications and their impact on electrical scope
• Able to review BOM of subcontractors, suppliers, and material quotes, determine completeness and compliance with bid documents, and make recommendations to Executives
• Experience with Design-Build
• Knowledge of NEC, jurisdictional codes, and construction methods
• Strong organizational and communication skills
