The Rigging Corporation is seeking a highly competent and business-oriented Corporate Lawyer to provide legal guidance and support across the company's corporate, commercial, and operational activities.
The ideal candidate has solid experience in corporate law and preferably has knowledge or experience in the logistics, transportation, supply chain, freight, or related industries. This role will work closely with management and various departments to help ensure that the company's business activities, contracts, and operations comply with applicable laws and regulations while effectively managing legal risks.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and guidance to management on corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, leases, service agreements, and other legal documents.
Advise the company on legal risks related to business transactions, logistics operations, transportation, supply chain, and vendor/customer relationships.
Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, labor, commercial, regulatory, and industry-specific laws and regulations.
Handle corporate documentation, board resolutions, corporate records, and other governance requirements.
Assist in the development and review of company policies, procedures, and internal guidelines.
Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise management regarding their potential impact on the business.
Coordinate with external counsel, government agencies, regulators, and other legal professionals when necessary.
Assist in the resolution of disputes, claims, and other legal matters involving the company.
Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and recommendations.
Identify potential legal and compliance risks and recommend practical solutions that support the company's business objectives.
Perform other legal duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Law or related field, with a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree.
Licensed to practice law in the Philippines.
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate or commercial law.
Strong knowledge of corporate governance, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and business law.
Preferably with experience or working knowledge of the logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, supply chain, warehousing, or related industries.
Experience in contract negotiation and risk assessment is highly preferred.
Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
Able to provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Willingness to work collaboratively with different departments and stakeholders.
