Dash Cargo Logistics is seeking an in-house counsel to provide day-to-day legal guidance on contracts, compliance, and regulatory issues affecting our logistics operations in the Philippines.
You will draft and review service agreements, NDAs, and transport contracts, monitor laws and regulations, and work with operations and finance to integrate legal requirements into workflows. A strong background in logistics or transportation law is preferred.
Provide day-to-day legal guidance to management and departments on contracts, service agreements, customs regulations, client disputes, and liabilities. Identify potential legal risks related to logistics operations and recommend mitigation measures. Monitor and interpret relevant laws and regulations that affect logistics and freight forwarding operations.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents (e.g., service agreements, NDAs, transport contracts)
Identify potential legal risks related to logistics operations (e.g., shipment liabilities, warehousing issues, cross-border documentation) and recommend mitigation measures
Monitor and interpret relevant laws and regulations (e.g., customs, labor, data privacy, transport) that affect logistics and freight forwarding operations
Ensure company policies and procedures align with updated government mandates (e.g., Bureau of Customs, DTI, DOLE, MARINA)
Maintain and organize a legal and contracts database for all vendor and client agreements
Monitor contract expiration, renewal schedules, and compliance obligations
Work closely with operations, HR, procurement, and finance to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are integrated into their workflows
Represent the company in legal proceedings or discussions with authorities if necessary
Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, Political Science, or related field; LLB or Juris Doctor is a plus
Proven experience in legal or compliance roles; preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries
Strong knowledge of regulatory bodies related to logistics and freight (e.g., BOC, MARINA, LTFRB)
Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and communication skills
