Job summary

Verspil Agua Chemicals Trading is seeking a dedicated Wastewater & Cooling Tower Operator to manage and monitor treatment systems, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety and regulatory standards are met.

You will monitor water parameters, conduct chemical dosing, maintain daily logs, and assist in preventive maintenance within an industrial plant environment. The role requires physical condition and willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, Technical/Vocational Graduate, or equivalent.
• Experience in wastewater treatment, cooling tower operation, water treatment, or chemical handling preferred.
• Knowledge of basic water treatment processes and chemical handling an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to work in an industrial environment.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules and overtime when required.
• Able to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
• Safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment system and cooling tower equipment.
• Regularly inspect pumps, motors, tanks, valves, pipes, and other equipment.
• Monitor and record water parameters (pH, temp, conductivity, chlorine, etc.).
• Perform routine chemical dosing and safe chemical handling/storage.
• Conduct backwashing, cleaning, blowdown, and other routine system operations.
• Report equipment abnormalities or breakdowns to supervisor after basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain daily operation logs, monitoring records, and chemical usage reports.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and cleaning of wastewater and cooling tower equipment.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of treatment areas.

WASTEWATER & COOLING TOWER OPERATOR

Job Summary

Responsible for the proper operation, monitoring, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of wastewater treatment and cooling tower systems. Ensures that equipment operates safely and efficiently and that required environmental, safety, and operational standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment system and cooling tower equipment.

• Conduct regular inspection of pumps, motors, tanks, valves, pipes, and other equipment.

• Monitor and record water parameters such as pH, temperature, conductivity, chlorine, and other required readings.

• Perform routine chemical dosing and ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals.

• Conduct backwashing, cleaning, blowdown, and other routine system operations as required.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment abnormalities or breakdowns to the supervisor.

• Maintain accurate daily operation logs, monitoring records, and chemical usage reports.

• Assist in preventive maintenance and cleaning of wastewater and cooling tower equipment.

• Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the treatment and equipment areas.

• Follow company EHS, PPE, chemical handling, and safety procedures at all times.

• Immediately report leaks, spills, unsafe conditions, and equipment problems.

• Assist in wastewater sampling and preparation of required monitoring documentation.

• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, Technical/Vocational Graduate, or equivalent.

• Preferably with experience in wastewater treatment, cooling tower operation, water treatment, or chemical handling.

• Knowledge of basic water treatment processes and chemical handling is an advantage.

• Physically fit and willing to work in an industrial environment.

• Willing to work on shifting schedules and overtime when required.

• Can follow instructions and maintain accurate records.

• Safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

• Basic knowledge of water quality testing.

• Familiarity with pumps, valves, motors, dosing systems, and filtration equipment.

• Good housekeeping and documentation skills.
