ZAMA Precision Industry Manufacturing Philippines, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Process Improvement professional to analyze and optimize manufacturing workflows across all workshops.
You will lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. Responsibilities include time studies, bottleneck analysis, KPI monitoring (OEE, yield, downtime), and cross-functional coordination, with a focus on sustaining improvements through audits and standardization.
Main goal of job:
Analyze existing manufacturing processes and workflows across all workshops and departments.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performance.
Identify and eliminate waste, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities.
Reduce manufacturing costs through process optimization, efficiency improvement, and resource utilization.
Monitor, evaluate, and sustain improvement activities to ensure achievement of business objectives.
Support operational excellence and drive a continuous improvement in culture throughout the organization.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
Study production processes, material flow, and manufacturing workflows through direct observation and data analysis.
Conduct time studies, motion studies, work sampling, and productivity analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
Analyze value-added versus non-value-added activities and propose actions to eliminate waste.
Identify bottlenecks, recurring losses, machine downtime, and inefficiencies affecting production performance.
Lead improvement related to Cost Reduction Projects.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other departments to implement improvement initiatives.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including Productivity, OEE, Yield, Scrap Rate, Downtime, Cost, and On-Time Delivery.
Initiate projects to improve machine utilization, production capacity, labor productivity, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
Lead setting up time reduction and changeover improvement activities.
Support factory layout optimization and material flow improvements to minimize handling and transportation losses.
Conduct regular improvement review meetings with workshop managers, supervisors, and engineers to evaluate project progress and effectiveness.
Prepare and present periodic reports highlighting improvement activities, cost savings, KPI achievements, and future action plans.
Promote employee involvement in continuous improvement activities by providing coaching, training, and guidance on problem-solving methodologies.
Ensure sustainability of implemented improvements through audits, performance monitoring, and standardization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing experience as Process Improvement in automotive or electronics/semiconductor industry or precision manufacturing environment.
