The role involves collaborating with production teams, drafting process improvements, conducting risk assessments, and testing upgrades to ensure consistent quality and performance across processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 3 years extensive experience in manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Methodologies and Continuous Improvement concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration within a team.

Responsibilities

• Meet with production teams to assess existing processes.
• Draft process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates.
• Perform risk assessments.
• Design and test process upgrades and new process systems.
• Perform optimization tests.
• Develop routines and best practices to ensure product quality.
• Develop SOPs for the upgrades process.
• Provide the Product Manager with process documents and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues.

About the role

The Junior Process Engineer is responsible for developing efficient systems, processes and machines that will result in high-quality products. This is done by studying the requirements of each production process and product, and determining the most efficient method while taking into consideration how the manufacturing processes will impact the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Meeting with production teams to assess existing processes

• Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates

• Performing risk assessments

• Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems

• Performing optimization tests

• Developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality

• Developing standardized operating instructions for the upgrades process

• Providing the Product Manager with process documents and standard operating procedures

• Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes

• Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations

About you

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent

• Preferably 3 years extensive experience in manufacturing environment

• Basic knowledge of industrial and other engineering principles

• Effective in the use of Lean Methodologies and Continuous Improvement

• Ability to perform optimization with continuous improvement mindset

• Effective analytical and critical thinking skills

• Strong communication, problem solving, interpersonal and team-work skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and able to work under pressure

• Good computer skills and proficient using Microsoft Office and Auto-CAD

• Ability to prepare clear and concise reports
