Axelum Resources Corp. is hiring an Industrial Engineering Group and Process Improvement Supervisor to lead and optimise IE activities across plant operations. The role drives productivity, quality, and cost improvements through data-driven strategies, capacity planning, and continuous improvement programs.
The successful candidate will lead Lean, Kaizen, 5S initiatives and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to sustain improvements and standardize processes.
The Industrial Engineering Group and Process Improvement Supervisor is responsible for leading the Industrial Engineering function and driving process improvement initiatives across plant operations. The role focuses on optimizing productivity, manpower, equipment, materials, workflows, and production processes to improve operational efficiency, quality, cost, and overall plant performance.
The position provides leadership in the development and implementation of data-driven improvement strategies, productivity standards, process optimization, capacity planning, and continuous improvement programs. The Supervisor works closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to identify operational gaps, establish improvement opportunities, and ensure sustainable implementation of solutions.
Lead and supervise the Industrial Engineering Group and ensure effective delivery of IE activities and improvement projects
Lead process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations
Conduct and oversee time and motion studies, work measurement, line balancing, capacity analysis, and productivity assessments
Analyze production processes, workflows, manpower utilization, equipment capacity, and resource requirements
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, process losses, and opportunities for productivity improvement
Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Establish, monitor, and maintain productivity standards, performance indicators, and operational metrics
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and other process improvement initiatives
Conduct root cause analysis and develop data-driven solutions for operational issues
Prepare technical reports, analysis, business cases, and recommendations for management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the implementation and validation of improvement projects
Monitor the effectiveness and sustainability of implemented improvements
Develop and standardize work processes, procedures, and productivity monitoring systems
Coach and develop team members in Industrial Engineering tools, problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies
Support strategic projects and other initiatives aimed at improving overall plant performance
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Process Improvement, Manufacturing, or Operations
Supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred
Strong knowledge of process improvement, work measurement, productivity analysis, capacity planning, and process optimization
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and develop actionable recommendations
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Power BI, statistical tools, AutoCAD, or other engineering and analytical software is an advantage
Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and project management skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple improvement initiatives
