Sommet Construction Incorporated is seeking a Project Manager (Engineer) to plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from inception to completion. You will ensure safety, timeliness, and budget adherence while upholding quality standards and contract specs.
You will collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to drive successful project delivery and client satisfaction, and you will oversee site engineers and project staff across multiple sites.
The Project Manager (Engineer) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects from inception to completion. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards, contract specifications, and applicable regulations. The Project Manager works closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve successful project delivery.
Plan, organize, and oversee all phases of construction projects.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
Supervise site engineers, supervisors, and project staff.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Manage project procurement, material deliveries, and equipment utilization.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation for management and clients.
Review and approve subcontractor work, billing, and change orders.
Resolve technical issues, conflicts, and project-related concerns promptly.
Ensure projects are completed to client satisfaction and successfully handed over.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred or required, depending on company policy).
Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in construction project management.
Proven experience managing commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and project management practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, or other construction management software.
Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and contract administration.
