Job summary

Strategic Land Philippines Corporation is seeking a Project In-Charge in Laoag, Philippines to plan, coordinate, supervise, and monitor on-site construction activities. You will act as the primary liaison between client, management, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 5–10 years in construction with 3+ years in PM or supervision, and strong skills in scheduling, QC, safety, and leadership. Travel willingness is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer preferred.
• 5-10 years in building or infrastructure construction; 3+ years in supervision or PM role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, QC, and safety standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6 or equivalents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, contracts, and codes.
• Develop and monitor project schedules for timely completion.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, management and clients.
• Supervise site engineers, foremen, and construction workers for productivity and quality.
• Monitor progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and manpower meet the project schedule.
• Enforce safety policies and regulations.
• Review subcontractor performance against contracts.
• Manage project costs and identify cost-saving measures.
• Address technical issues to minimize delays.
• Attend project meetings and verify work for progress billing.
• Maintain documentation: RFIs, change orders, as-built records.
• Coordinate turnover activities, punch lists, and closeout.

Job Summary

The role serves as the primary point of coordination between the client, management, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day construction activities.
• Ensure project execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and applicable building codes.
• Develop and monitor project schedules to achieve timely completion.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, management and clients.
• Supervise site engineers, foremen, and construction workers to ensure productivity and quality workmanship.
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and manpower are available as required by the project schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and identify corrective actions.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Review subcontractor performance and ensure work meets contractual requirements.
• Monitor project costs, identify potential cost overruns, and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Resolve technical issues and site-related problems promptly to minimize project delays.
• Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, and management.
• Verify work accomplishments for progress billing and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure proper documentation, including RFIs, inspection requests, change orders, and as-built records.
• Coordinate project turnover activities, punch list completion, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in building or infrastructure construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or project management role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project scheduling, quality control, and safety standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent project management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure.
• Must be willing to travel.
