This full-time role focuses on ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies across our construction activities. You will manage permits, registrations, and compliance records while coordinating with Design & Build, LGUs, and government agencies.

Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join the administration and office support team at NEWBIG FOUR J CONSTRUCTION INC. This is a full-time position based in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila. As Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our organisation adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. This position is crucial to maintaining the integrity and reputation of our construction business and protecting the company from potential legal and operational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor upcoming store openings and construction timelines.
• Coordinate with Design & Build, LGUs, and government agencies for permit requirements and processing.
• Prepare, route, submit, and follow up on permits and licenses for new stores, including:
• -Building Permit
• -Occupancy Permit
• -Barangay Building Permit
• -Barangay Clearance for Construction
• -Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Electronics Permits
• -Fire Safety Evaluation Report (FSER)
• -Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (FSIC)
• -Process permit and license payments
• -Maintain updated permit and compliance records, trackers, and digital files.
• -Monitor application status and ensure timely completion of permits.

ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS

• Organize and maintain compliance documents and records.
• Update the compliance tracker.
• Respond to internal emails and requests related to permits and compliance.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a compliance, administrative, or regulatory role, preferably within the construction or engineering industry
• Strong knowledge of Philippine labour laws, building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance requirements
• Excellent organisational and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple compliance frameworks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and compliance management software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex compliance matters clearly
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various departments
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
• A professional demeanour and ability to handle sensitive compliance matters with discretion
• Relevant certifications in compliance, quality assurance, or occupational health and safety would be advantageous
• Tertiary qualification in business administration, law, or a related field is preferred
