Job summary

NEWBIG FOUR J CONSTRUCTION INC. in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila, is hiring an Office Engineer to bridge project teams and management, ensuring engineering standards, safety and quality across construction projects.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a PE license, with 2–3 years in construction engineering or site supervision. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is essential, and site inspections will be routine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required and PE license is mandatory.
• Minimum 2-3 years of construction engineering or site supervision experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, engineering software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation for construction projects
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations
• Monitor project progress and maintain accurate records of construction activities, materials and resources
• Liaise between field teams and senior engineers to communicate design requirements and resolve technical issues
• Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates and material take-offs for project planning and budgeting
• Review submitted plans from contractors and ensure conformance with design specifications
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating site activities with various trade contractors
• Maintain compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and industry best practices
• Support the preparation of tender documents and bid specifications
• Document and report any deviations or defects identified during construction phases

About the role

NEWBIG FOUR J CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking an experienced Office Engineer to join our growing team in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our construction operations. As an Office Engineer, you will serve as a bridge between our project teams and management, ensuring that all engineering standards, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks are met across our construction projects. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and delivering projects on time and within specification.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation for construction projects

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognised university
• Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license is a MUST.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in construction engineering or site supervision
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, structural design software and MS Office applications
• Thorough knowledge of building codes, construction standards and safety regulations in the Philippines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Experience with residential, commercial or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with construction management software and cost estimation tools is advantageous
• Physical capability to conduct regular site inspections and fieldwork
