Job summary

Newstar Shopping Mart Inc. is seeking a Department Supervisor for Compensation & Benefits to lead payroll, benefits, and regulatory compliance strategies across branches.

You will mentor officers, ensure accurate records, and collaborate with other departments to support hiring and retention goals. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in HRM/related field and 3+ years in payroll/benefits or HR operations, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of government reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Accountancy, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 3 years of payroll, compensation and benefits or HR operations experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel, payroll software, and government reporting systems (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Designs and applies compensation and benefits strategies aligned with company goals.
• Verifies SOPs are clear to Department Officers.
• Mentor Department Officers to strengthen skills in Compensation & Benefits.
• Leads coordination with other departments to support hiring and retention.
• Maintains accurate records and prepares reports for audits and compliance.
• Ensures compliance with government mandated benefits and regulations.
• Provides timely, compliant support for employees and organizational needs.
• Reviews audits and analyzes data to improve programs.
• Develops plans supporting Compensation & Benefits goals.
• Conducts regular branch payroll audits.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
