Job description

MAIN FUNCTION:

The Department Supervisor for Compensation & Benefits leads the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategies related to payroll, benefits, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures that compensation and benefits systems support the company’s talent attraction and retention goals, align with legal standards, and are clearly communicated to internal teams. The Supervisor oversees audits, ensures data accuracy, and mentors Department Officers to build strong execution and compliance capacity across branches and departments.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs and applies compensation and benefits strategies that align with company goals and support employee attraction and retention.
  • Verifies compensation and benefits SOPs are clear to DO.
  • Mentor Department Officer to strengthen their skills in Compensation & Benefits.
  • Leads proper coordination with other departments to ensure compensation and benefits supports company hiring and retention goals.
  • Verifies accurate and up-to-date records, and prepares reports for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Checks compliance with government mandated benefits and regulations.
  • Works with government agencies and internal teams to provide timely and compliant support for employees and organizational needs.
  • Reviews and resolves compensation and benefits issues while effectively communicating solutions to employees.
  • Creates development plans that support the company’s Compensation & Benefits goals.
  • Conducts regular branch payroll audit.
  • Review audits conducted by DO to ensure if Compensation & Benefits practices follow company policies.
  • Analyzes data, trends, and feedback to improve compensation and benefits programs.
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities and unexpected challenges while sustaining accuracy and operational standards.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Job qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Accountancy, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Experience:
  • At least 3 years of solid experience in payroll, compensation & benefits, or HR operations, preferably in a retail or multi-branch environment.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Proficient in MS Excel, payroll software, and government reporting systems (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
  • Knowledge in labor laws and statutory benefits computation.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and compliance.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
