The Compensation and Benefits Officer ensures the accurate and timely administration of employee payroll inputs, leave tracking, statutory benefits, and HR records. This role serves as a key resource for employees regarding their total rewards and maintains strict compliance with Philippine labor laws and company data privacy standards.
Timekeeping & Payroll Preparation:
- Manage daily attendance records, validating clock-ins, tardiness, overtime, and undertime.
- Resolve timekeeping discrepancies and missing logs with employees and managers promptly.
- Prepare and submit accurate, finalized timekeeping reports and payroll inputs to Finance within established cut-off periods.
Leave Administration:
- Track and monitor all leave balances in the HRIS, including Vacation, Sick, PTO, and statutory leaves (maternity, paternity, solo parent, VAWC).
- Review and approve leave applications, ensuring proper supporting documentation is submitted.
- Manage leave accruals, carryovers, and expirations, and serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding their balances.
Compensation & Benefits Administration:
- Facilitate the enrollment, updating, and administration of government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
- Manage company-provided benefits, including HMO, group life insurance, allowances, and bonuses.
- Document and coordinate salary adjustments, payroll deductions, and compensation-related employee movements with the Finance team.
HR Records Management (201 & 202 Files):
- Maintain highly organized and secure physical and electronic employee records (201/202 files).
- Conduct regular audits of employee files to identify and collect missing, incomplete, or outdated documentation.
- Handle employment documentation requests, including Certificates of Employment (COE) and compensation certifications.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes by ensuring all benefits and compensation records are accurately established or closed out.
