Job summary

Mediatrix Multipurpose Cooperative in Bukidnon, Philippines is seeking a skilled Collector to support daily collection of loan payments and savings from members, reduce delinquencies, and monitor PAR1 performance. You will perform area visits, issue receipts, post daily collections, and coordinate with Branch Manager for follow-ups.

The role requires driving and reliable vehicle handling, with regular reporting and documentation duties.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel for area visits.
• Experience in microfinance or cooperative lending is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily collection of loan payments, savings, or other dues from members.
• Manage and reduce delinquency rates.
• Close daily monitoring for PAR1, then plan and request mass follow-up to ensure collection recovery.
• Perform area visits to collect savings, share capital, and loan payments.
• Maintain a high level of collection rate of at least 80% based on target.
• Issue official receipts with accurate information and surrender the same to the Teller/Cashier for recording and safekeeping.
• Post and remit daily collections with collection summary to the branch cashier.
• Plan for mass follow-up when necessary and submit request to the Branch Manager.
• Submit daily itinerary to the Branch Manager/Loan Officer for daily accomplishment.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and seminars as mandated.
• Monitor loan aging and prepare collection reports for the Branch Manager.

Reporting and Documentation

• Monitor loan aging and prepare collection reports for the Branch Manager.
• Prepare daily itinerary based on members’ due accounts and submit the same to the Branch Manager/Loan Officers for approval.
• Prepare and send notices regarding amounts due, maturity dates, amortization, due dates, and representative assembly to the members for information.
• Prepare necessary documents to present a formal complaint, whether small claim, criminal case, or regular case.
• Check the cooperative-issued motorcycle for maintenance and submit requests to the Branch Manager for necessary maintenance approval.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and seminars as mandated.
