Job summary

ESC Corporation is seeking an experienced Collections Officer to manage overdue repayments from business customers. You will handle portfolios in arrears, negotiate payment arrangements, and maintain precise collections records in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in business collections, strong English, and solid negotiation and organisational skills. SME and Australian regulatory familiarity are desirable assets while maintaining professional customer

Responsibilities

• Issue relevant notices within required timeframes.
• Respond to email correspondence promptly and professionally.
• Investigate and resolve account queries and disputes, escalating matters where required.
• Maintain accurate records of collections activity and customer communications and agreed payment arrangements.
• Build respectful customer relationships that support effective collections and customer retention.
• Work with sales, customer service and other internal teams to resolve customer issues.
• Contribute to improvements in collections processes and performance.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Collections Officer to manage and collect overdue repayments from business customers of an innovative Australian fintech.

You will manage a portfolio of customers with accounts in arrears, negotiate payment arrangements, resolve account queries and disputes, and maintain accurate collections records.

This role requires confident communication, sound negotiation skills and practical experience in a fast-paced business collections environment.

Key Duties

• Manage a portfolio of customers with accounts in arrears, tracking overdue repayments and following up payment commitments
• Contact customers by telephone, email and other approved channels to collect outstanding amounts and negotiate payment arrangements
• Issue relevant customer notices accurately and within required timeframes
• Respond to email correspondence promptly, accurately and professionally
• Investigate and resolve account queries and disputes, escalating matters where required
• Maintain accurate and current records of collections activity, customer communications and agreed payment arrangements
• Build respectful customer relationships that support effective collections and customer retention
• Work with sales, customer service and other internal teams to resolve customer issues
