JJF Frozen Foods is seeking a Cold Chain Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily cold storage warehouse operations and lead a team of warehouse personnel. You will manage receiving, storage, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch while ensuring accurate inventory records and adherence to cold storage conditions.

The role emphasizes supervision, process implementation, and continuous improvement in safety and efficiency within the warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years in warehouse ops, with 3 years in supervision.
• Experience in cold storage or frozen products is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control and cold chain management.
• Familiarity with FIFO/FEFO and inventory systems.
• Proficient in MS Office; WMS/ERP experience is an advantage.

About the role

The Cold Chain Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of our cold storage warehouse while assisting the Warehouse Operations Manager in ensuring the efficient and effective management of warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper storage conditions for frozen products, and overseeing receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch activities. The role also supports the implementation of operational procedures, monitors compliance with company policies and food safety standards, and helps drive operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement within the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the cold storage warehouse to ensure efficient workflow
• Monitor receiving, storage, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch activities
• Ensure products are properly stored, handled, and organized to maximize warehouse space
• Coordinate daily warehouse activities based on operational priorities and delivery schedules
• Monitor inventory movements, including receiving, transfers, returns, and dispatches
• Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date
• Monitor and maintain required cold storage temperatures
• Supervise, schedule, and assign daily tasks to warehouse personnel
• Train new warehouse employees on operational procedures, food safety, and workplace safety
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and workplace safety regulations

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or any related field is preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with 3 years in a supervisory role
• Experience in cold storage, frozen food, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is highly preferred
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and cold chain management
• Familiarity with FIFO, FEFO, and inventory management systems
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards and workplace safety regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems is an advantage
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends or holidays, when operationally required
