Job summary

GoTeam is hiring a Client Funds Accountant in Cebu City. The role focuses on data-driven accounting, reconciliation, and reporting, with a shift from onsite at night to hybrid work later.

You will consolidate client funds data daily, perform reconciliations, and document resolutions to ensure accuracy. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in accounting or finance operations, an accounting degree or equivalent hands-on experience, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, reconciliations, or finance operations.
• Accounting background with degree or closely related hands-on experience.
• Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, IF statements and charts.
• Strong data handling and analysis skills, able to filter and structure data.
• Willingness to work a hybrid setup in Cebu City on a 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM shift.

Responsibilities

• Daily data consolidation: pull and consolidate data from multiple sources daily.
• Reconciliations and accounting support: reconcile client funds accounts and explain variances.
• Research, analysis and admin: build summaries, charts, and keep files organized.

Client Funds Accountant ( Up to ₱40,000 | 2 months Onsite, then Hybrid | FREE AI Certification)

Cebu City | 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT | Monday to Friday

This role is for an accountant who enjoys working inside data. You pivot, filter, cross-check and keep digging until the numbers tie out. If you’re the person your team calls when a spreadsheet won’t balance, you’ll do well here.

YOU’RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, reconciliations, or finance operations
• An accounting background, either a degree in Accounting or closely related hands‑on experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, IF statements, and charts
• Strong data handling and analysis skills, with the judgment to filter, structure, and build formulas correctly on your own
• Willingness to work a hybrid setup in Cebu City on a 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT shift

• Intermediate to advanced comfort with financial systems, and you pick up new tools quickly

RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Daily Data Consolidation

You own the daily flow of client funds data, so every figure is complete, current and accurate.

• Pull and consolidate data from multiple sources every day
• Organize large datasets with advanced Excel functions and pivot tables
• Spot gaps, duplicates, or irregularities before they reach reporting

Reconciliations and Accounting Support

You make sure client funds balances tie out and every variance is explained.

• Help reconcile client funds accounts
• Investigate discrepancies and document how they were resolved
• Carry out core accounting tasks that support accurate records

Research, Analysis and Admin

You dig into the systems behind the numbers and keep the supporting work organized.

• Research transactions and data across systems that span several teams
• Build clear summaries, charts, and analysis that help others act quickly
• Keep files, trackers, and records organized and up to date
• Explain findings and status updates clearly, in writing and in conversation
