Job summary

GoTeam is seeking a Payroll Specialist to own payroll data end-to-end, building dashboards and automations that keep pay runs accurate, on time, and audit-ready. You will analyze payroll data, translate it into actionable insights, and support forecasting and workforce decisions.

Candidates should have strong Excel macros and data analytics skills, plus excellent English communication. The role starts onsite in Cebu with a transition to hybrid work.

Payroll Specialist (Up to ₱30,000- ₱35,000 | 2 months Onsite then Hybrid | FREE AI Certification)

Cebu, Philippines | 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM PHT | Monday to Friday

Do you love turning payroll numbers into clear, actionable insights? We're looking for a Payroll Specialist who's just as comfortable building an Excel macro as they are reconciling a pay run, and who wants to grow their career in data-driven payroll operations.

In this role, you own the full data side of payroll — from collecting and analyzing payroll data to building the dashboards, automations, and forecasts that keep the whole team ahead of trends, risks, and staffing needs. You'll work closely with the payroll team to keep every pay cycle accurate, on time, and audit-ready.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

• 2+ years of experience in payroll, data analysis, or a related field
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and macros
• Strong written and verbal English communication and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of US payroll regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

STRONG SIGNALS

• 1+ years of experience in forecasting and workforce management
• Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau
• A degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field

RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Payroll Data Analysis & Reporting

You own the accuracy and integrity of payroll data from end to end.

• Collect, process, and analyze payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Build and maintain payroll reports and dashboards that track KPIs and surface trends or discrepancies
• Create ad-hoc reports for management and stakeholders as needed

Data Transformation & Automation

You streamline how payroll data moves and reduce manual work across the team.

• Translate payroll data into formats compatible with payroll and HRIS systems
• Build, test, and maintain Excel macros and scripts to automate repetitive tasks
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve data workflows and reduce manual intervention

Payroll Processing & Workforce Insights

You support accurate pay cycles and turn data into forward-looking recommendations.

• Collaborate with the payroll team to verify and reconcile hours, deductions, taxes, and benefits
• Assist in processing payroll on a regular schedule to ensure timely, accurate payments
• Interpret payroll data to flag trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities, and provide schedule and staffing recommendations based on forecasted volumes

Documentation & Training

You make sure best practices are captured and shared across the team.

• Maintain payroll process documentation, data management guidelines, and macro instructions
• Train payroll team members on data analysis tools, import procedures, and best practices for using macros
