Job summary

FDVERGEL STRUCTURES PROJECT MANAGEMENT CORP. is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to lead detailed designs, perform structural analyses, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Professional license/registration as Civil Engineer (preferably PRC certification in the Philippines).
• 2–3 years' professional experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in structural design software: STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM software such as Revit.

• Develop detailed structural designs and technical drawings using CAD software.

About the role

Direct supervision with the Principal Structural Engineer to develop detailed structural designs and technical drawings, conduct structural analysis, and ensure compliance with safety requirements and building codes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural designs and technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
• Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet safety requirements, building codes and industry standards
• Prepare design specifications, material schedules and construction documentation for use by contractors and construction teams
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to integrate structural requirements with overall project objectives
• Review and assess project requirements, site conditions and geotechnical data to inform design decisions
• Perform quality checks on designs to verify accuracy, completeness and compliance with specifications
• Communicate design concepts and technical information effectively to stakeholders, clients and team members
• Support site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction phases as required
• Stay updated on emerging design trends, technologies and regulatory changes within the structural engineering industry
• Value engineering and estimation (quantity take-off)

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Professional license or registration as a Civil Engineer (preferably with PRC certification in the Philippines)
• Minimum of 2-3 years' professional experience in structural design and analysis
• Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS or equivalent applications
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM software such as Revit for creating detailed structural drawings
• Solid understanding of building codes, design standards and construction practices relevant to the Philippines
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail and precision
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities with the capacity to work effectively in collaborative environments
