Job summary

Estilo Construction is seeking a Licensed Civil Engineer to lead site operations with strong structural design and review experience. The role combines design oversight with hands-on construction management on a hybrid basis.

The candidate should command proficiency in STAAD.Pro and ETABS, and be able to assess concrete and steel structures, prepare detailed joint calculations, and manage day-to-day site activities as Project-in-Charge.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and validate structural analysis models using STAAD.Pro and ETABS.
• Check structural loading, load combinations, member capacity, stability, deflection, drift, and serviceability.
• Review the structural adequacy of reinforced-concrete and structural-steel members.
• Perform detailed calculations for beam-to-column and beam-to-beam connections, bolted and welded connections, moment and shear connections, column/beam/girder splices, base plates and anchor bolts, reinforcing-bar lap splices, anchorage, and development length.
• Review structural plans, shop drawings, as-built conditions, and construction deviations.
• Evaluate actual site conditions and available test results, including concrete-strength and material-test reports.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete, structural steel, welding, bolting, anchorage, and other critical structural activities.
• Verify that structural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and approved methodologies.
• Serve as the day-to-day Project-in-Charge for the assigned site, planning and supervising daily work activities, manpower deployment, subcontractors, equipment, and material requirements.
• Prepare clear daily, weekly, and technical progress reports and maintain updated structural issue and audit-closure matrix.

About the role

This is a hybrid technical and site leadership role for a Licensed Civil Engineer with strong structural design and active site-management experience. The successful candidate will be capable of creating structural design systems for design and build projects, reviewing structural models from third-party designers, performing independent structural calculations and design verification, calculating specific structural joints and connections, assessing existing concrete and steel structures, preparing technically defensible recommendations, and managing day-to-day activities of an active construction site as Project-in-Charge.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• Valid Philippine PRC license as a Civil Engineer

• At least five years of relevant experience in structural design and vertical construction

• Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in STAAD.Pro and ETABS

• Experience designing or checking both reinforced-concrete and structural-steel structures

• Proven ability to prepare detailed calculations for structural joints, connections, anchorage, and splices

• Experience assessing existing structures, construction deviations, or structural audit findings

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer, Project Engineer, Project-in-Charge, or equivalent site leadership role

• Working knowledge of the latest applicable editions of the NSCP, ACI, AISC, ASCE, AWS, NBCP, and relevant Philippine construction standards

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel or equivalent engineering calculation tools
