Axeia Development Corp. is seeking a Design & Drafting Assistant to support Senior Engineers in basic structural analysis and drafting for low- to mid-rise projects.
You will draft framing plans, rebar details, and foundation layouts using AutoCAD and Revit, while applying NSCP and PD 1096 codes from the Philippines. The role involves assisting in site inspections, reviewing field logs and material tests, and helping prepare design notes and BOQs.
Assist Senior Engineers with basic structural analysis and modeling for low- to mid-rise structures
Draft structural framing plans, rebar detailing, foundation layouts, and engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
Learn and apply local design codes, including the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) and the National Building Code of the Philippines (PD 1096).
Assist in preparing structural design notes, bill of quantities (BOQ), and engineering calculation reports.
Participate in routine site inspections alongside senior engineers to verify that ongoing construction work conforms to approved structural plans and specifications.
Assist in inspecting rebar placement, concrete pour preparation, and structural steel connections prior to pouring.
Help review field requests, site query logs, and material testing results (e.g., concrete cylinder compression tests, rebar tensile tests).
Organize design documentation, structural calculation sheets, and project submittals for local government unit (LGU) building permit applications.
Coordinate with architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) team members to flag spatial conflicts or structural adjustments.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from a recognized university or college.
Licensure:
Passing or recent board passer of the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination (PRC License).
Open to fresh graduates who passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination
Technical Familiarity:
Fundamental knowledge of structural design principles (reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundation engineering, and seismic principles).
Hands-on academic experience or internship exposure to AutoCAD.
Introductory exposure to structural software (ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or Revit) through academic projects or electives is a plus.
Competencies:
Strong foundation in structural theory and mathematics.
Keen attention to detail and willingness to learn on-site and in the design office.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Tagalog.
