Job summary

Portcast is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Leader to own technical direction across platform, infrastructure, and product systems. You will define scalable architecture, ensure reliability, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, ML, and analytics professionals.

You’ll drive AI and data strategy, ensure ML models move into production, and strengthen MLOps and data pipelines while aligning analytics with product and customer decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, data, or ML environments.
• Strong background in system design, infrastructure, and AI/ML.
• Experience leading technical teams in a startup or product-driven B2B SaaS company.
• Track record building and scaling production AI/ML systems.
• Experience with distributed systems, real-time data, and cloud infrastructure.
• Background in logistics or supply chain data is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Define scalable architecture and ensure reliability, performance, and security.
• Lead engineering, ML, and analytics teams; mentor senior staff.
• Shape technical roadmap with Product and align with business impact.
• Move ML models from experimentation to production; strengthen MLOps.
• Improve engineering velocity, code quality, and delivery discipline.
