EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior GenAI Engineering Lead to build the next generation of AI products and platforms. You will design enterprise GenAI applications, develop AI agents, and integrate LLMs into enterprise ecosystems.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, collaborate with cloud teams, and promote AI-assisted engineering practices across the LATAM region. The role offers growth, training, and a collaborative, global team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, APIs, and microservices.
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, GenAI systems, and prompt engineering.
• Background in RAG architectures and agentic AI, vector databases and model orchestration.
• Knowledge of evaluation frameworks and AI observability.
• Skills in OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and Llama.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, and MCP Servers.
• Flexibility to use Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Strong collaboration, mentorship, ownership mentality, and continuous learning.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise GenAI applications.
• Develop AI agents, multi-agent systems, RAG architectures, and intelligent workflows.
• Integrate LLMs into enterprise ecosystems.
• Build secure, scalable, and production-ready AI solutions.
• Drive architecture decisions and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and cloud teams.
• Implement observability, evaluation, testing, and governance frameworks.
• Optimize latency, cost, reliability, and quality.
• Work with: OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama, LangGraph, LangChain, MCP Servers, Vector Databases, Python ecosystems, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Act as an AI Champion within EPAM LATAM.
• Mentor engineers and technical communities.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Share knowledge through workshops and enablement programs.
• Help accelerate AI maturity across the region.
