Job summary

Axos Business Center, Corp seeks a strategic AI engineering leader to architect our AI platform and set engineering standards. You will mentor senior engineers, drive organizational transformation toward AI-native development, and own our AI engineering vision and execution.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, governance, and ROI-focused delivery across enterprise integrations and agentic systems, with a strong emphasis on responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering or AI/ML engineering
• 3+ years leading technical teams or shaping strategy
• Proven expertise in production AI systems at scale
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Math or related field (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Define and lead strategic AI engineering direction across Axos Bank.
• Establish architectural standards for AI initiatives.
• Design enterprise-scale agentic systems and integration patterns.
• Lead MCP server governance, data integration and security standards.
• Drive ROI measurement and business impact for AI programs.
• Mentor senior AI engineers and grow leadership capabilities.
• Champion responsible AI practices and governance.
