Job summary

BPO International, Inc. seeks a seasoned Controller to oversee all financial aspects of the bank's operations in the Philippines.

You will manage financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and analysis to support growth and stability. Responsibilities include preparing statements per PFRS, leading annual budgets, conducting in-depth financial analysis, maintaining the ECL model, and ensuring BSP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA license is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial controlling, preferably within the banking sector.
• Extensive knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards specific to banking.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills with the ability to drive financial strategy.
• Proficiency in financial software and banking systems.
• Background in banking is essential.
• Must be willing to work full-time onsite at the Cebu Head Office in Capitol (no relocation package provided).

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with PFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts with department heads and senior management.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct variance, trend, and profitability analyses and maintain the ECL model.
• Internal Controls: Establish and monitor controls to safeguard assets and ensure BSP compliance.
• Audit Management: Coordinate external audits and regulatory examinations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on BSP regulations and ensure timely filings.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team in the Philippines.
• Process Improvement: Improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Strategic Planning: Align financial plans with bank goals and objectives.
• Special projects: Support growth, efficiency, and risk management initiatives.
