Responsibilities

• Assist vetting third-party transportation providers and setting up carrier profiles within RMIS.
• Build and maintain carrier relationships, identifying lane capabilities, geographic service areas, and freight preferences.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for daily carrier inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Negotiate competitive rates and book carriers on assigned loads while meeting coverage requirements.
• Track in-transit shipments daily, updating TMS with accurate ETAs, pickup times, and delivery windows.
• Proactively identify potential transit delays or operational issues and communicate updates to stakeholders immediately.
• Approve and issue EFS advances for carrier lumper fees, late fees, and manage accessorial charge processing.
• Collect POD documentation promptly following load completion to support timely billing.
• Follow operational procedures, cross-train across team functions, and collaborate with internal operations teams to maintain service quality.

This position balances strategic capacity procurement with real-time operational coordination to ensure cost-effective, timely, and dependable transportation services. Key responsibilities include load coverage, rate negotiation, tracking shipments, and resolving operational discrepancies.

Functions

• Assist with vetting third-party transportation providers and setting up carrier profiles within the RMIS system.

• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships, identifying carrier lane capabilities, geographic service areas, and freight preferences.
