Job summary

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Head to join the CAFE IBARRA in Baliuag, Bulacan. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage our café operations with strategic vision and operational excellence. As Cafe Head, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of café management, from daily operations to staff supervision, ensuring that we deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences to our guests. This role is integral to the hospitality and tourism sector, where your leadership will directly contribute to the success of our events and venue operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and quality control standards
2. Manage and supervise café staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management
3. Monitor and maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations
4. Control costs by managing budgets, reducing waste, and optimising supplier relationships and pricing
5. Develop and implement café menus, considering seasonal offerings and customer preferences
6. Ensure consistent service quality and customer satisfaction through effective staff training and coaching
7. Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally, implementing improvements as necessary
8. Maintain equipment and facilities, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed
9. Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless integration of café services within the broader events and venue operations
10. Track and analyse sales performance, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and operational efficiency

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in café or food service management within the hospitality industry
2. Proven leadership and staff management experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams
3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and local health codes
4. Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
5. Proficiency in inventory management, cost control, and financial planning
6. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and other relevant café management software
7. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service is advantageous
10. Relevant certification in hospitality management or food service is preferred
