Advance Food Concepts Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Procurement/Logistics professional to develop and implement strategic sourcing for raw materials, packaging, and imports.
You will manage POs, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely, compliant delivery. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in purchasing/procurement in food manufacturing, with strong negotiation skills and familiarity with import documentation and ERP systems.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for raw materials, imported materials, packaging materials, supplies, and other requirements for plant operations. Process and monitor Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders to ensure timely procurement of materials based on production requirements and approved specifications. Source, identify, evaluate, qualify, and maintain local and international suppliers that can meet the company's quality, cost, delivery, and service requirements.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, minimum order quantities, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms with suppliers
Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, QA, R&D, Finance, and other end-users to ensure the availability of required materials
Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance with agreed terms and company requirements
Manage and monitor imported materials, ensuring that orders are placed according to production requirements and within the required lead time
Coordinate with foreign suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party providers regarding shipment schedules, shipping documents, and delivery status
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of importation and shipping documents, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/airway bills, certificates of origin, and other applicable documents
Monitor the status and movement of imported shipments, including vessel/flight schedules, estimated time of arrival, port arrival, customs clearance, and delivery to the plant
Ensure that imported materials comply with applicable regulatory, customs, food safety, and company requirements, particularly for raw materials used in food manufacturing
Prepare and maintain procurement and importation reports, including purchasing status, spend analysis, supplier performance, open POs, shipment status, and inventory-related reports
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, and process improvement without compromising quality and supply continuity
Preferably Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing/Procurement, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Preferably with at least 2–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
Experience in raw materials, packaging materials, supplies, and imported materials procurement
Working knowledge of importation processes, customs clearance, international shipping, and trade documentation
Familiarity with import documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, and other relevant shipping documents
Experience coordinating with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers
Strong negotiation, supplier management, and sourcing skills
Knowledge of inventory management, material planning, lead times, and supply chain processes
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP/Purchasing systems is an advantage
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
