About the role
A Business Instructor is responsible for teaching business-related subjects, facilitating student learning, developing instructional materials, assessing academic performance, and providing guidance to students. The instructor may teach courses in management, marketing, entrepreneurship, accounting, finance, economics, business law, or other business-related disciplines.
Key responsibilities
- Teach assigned business-related courses
- Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
- Deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and conduct practical learning activitiesEvaluate and document student performance and learning outcomes
- Advise and mentor students regarding academic and career development
- Incorporate current business practices, trends, and industry examples into instruction
- Participate in curriculum development and academic program activities
- Conduct or participate in research and community extension activities
- Attend faculty meetings, training programs, seminars, and institutional activities
- Perform other academic and administrative duties as assigned
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is highly preferred and may be required by the institution
- Prior teaching or training experience is an advantage
- Relevant professional or industry experience in business, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, or a related field is preferred
- Relevant certifications or professional licenses are an advantage, depending on the subject assignment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and other educational or business software
- Willingness to participate in seminars, training, research, and continuing professional development activities
