Job Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role as the driving force of the sales funnel. This position is focused on identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers for project-based electronics manufacturing services. The BDR is not responsible for closing sales, but rather for opening opportunities by generating high-quality leads and booking qualified appointments for the senior sales team. Success in this role requires persistence, strong outbound sales skills, and the ability to engage prospects in long-cycle, technically oriented sales environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Research
- Source and identify prospective companies within the Medical and Industrial Electronics sectors using LinkedIn, industry directories, and online research tools.
- Build and maintain targeted prospect lists aligned with the company’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
Outbound Sales & Outreach
- Conduct high-volume outbound outreach through cold calling, personalized email campaigns, and LinkedIn messaging.
- Execute 30–50 outbound touches per day to generate interest and initiate conversations with decision-makers.
Lead Qualification
- Engage prospects to assess their need for OEM and project-based electronics manufacturing services.
- Qualify leads based on fit, project potential, timelines, and decision-making readiness.
Appointment Setting
- Schedule discovery calls and meetings between qualified prospects and the senior sales team.
- Ensure appointments are well-qualified and supported by accurate background information.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions, follow-ups, and lead statuses within the CRM system.
- Track outreach activities and ensure consistent follow-up to move leads through the early stages of the sales funnel.
