As a Business Development Associate at Mangoes and Bananas Studio, you find the brands that are ripe for the spotlight and start the conversation. You identify businesses that could use our services, reach out, and set up the exploration meetings where a new partnership begins.

If you like meeting new people, spotting potential in a brand, and turning a first hello into a working relationship, then this is for you.

About the role

The Business Development Associate brings new brands and accounts to the studio. You look for small to medium-sized, experience and service-based businesses that need what we do, from branding and social media to content production, events, and influencer partnerships. Then you build a relationship with the people behind them and set up exploration meetings so we can understand what they need.

We expect curiosity, persistence, and a warm way with people. You should do your homework on a brand before you reach out, explain what Mangoes and Bananas Studio does in plain words, and follow up without being pushy. You are often the first person a future client talks to, so the impression you make is their first taste of the studio.

What you'll do

Qualifications

• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or another client-facing role. Agency experience is welcome.
• Experience finding and reaching out to potential clients.
• A confident communicator in meetings, on calls, and in written outreach.
• Able to research a brand and spot where its marketing could be stronger.
• A working understanding of creative and marketing services such as branding, social media, content production, and events.
• Organized in tracking leads, contacts, and follow-ups in a spreadsheet or CRM.
• Persistent, personable, and comfortable starting conversations with people you have not met.
