Q2 HR Solutions is looking for a highly experienced and results-driven Business Development Executive to drive new business acquisition, revenue growth, and long-term client partnerships for our HR and workforce solutions.
This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional with strong B2B service-selling experience who understands that selling HR solutions is not about selling a tangible product—it is about selling expertise, capability, service commitments, and business outcomes.
The successful candidate must be able to understand client needs, identify the right HR solution, communicate the value and deliverables clearly, and confidently manage the sales process from prospecting to contract closing and handover to the delivery team.
About the Role
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and converting business opportunities for Q2 HR Solutions' HR and workforce services. This includes prospecting for new clients, conducting discovery conversations, developing customized solutions and proposals, presenting service capabilities, negotiating commercial terms, and closing agreements.
This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional with strong B2B service-selling experience who understands how to effectively position and sell intangible HR solutions by communicating their value, expertise, capabilities, service commitments, and expected business outcomes.

Consultative & Solution-Based Selling
- Conduct discovery meetings and client consultations to understand business requirements, workforce challenges, pain points, priorities, and expected outcomes.
- Translate client needs into appropriate HR and workforce solutions rather than relying on a one‑size‑fits‑all sales approach.
- Effectively communicate and sell the value, scope, process, deliverables, and expected outcomes of Q2's services.
- Build client confidence by demonstrating Q2's expertise, capabilities, service model, and ability to deliver on commitments.
- Handle complex client questions and objections by providing commercially sound and solution-oriented responses.
- Position Q2 as a strategic HR solutions partner, rather than simply a manpower or staffing provider.
Proposal Development & Solution Presentation
- Lead the development of customized proposals, service solutions, presentations, and commercial offers based on client requirements.
- Present and defend Q2's proposed solutions, clearly articulating the value proposition, service deliverables, scope, timelines, and commercial terms.
- Collaborate with Recruitment, HR, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to validate the feasibility and delivery requirements of proposed solutions.
- Ensure that all commitments made during the sales process are realistic, clearly documented, and aligned with Q2's actual service capabilities.
- Develop compelling business cases that demonstrate how Q2's solutions can address client needs and create value.
Negotiation & Closing
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with decision‑makers, procurement teams, HR leaders, and other key stakeholders.
- Negotiate pricing, scope, service levels, contract terms, and deliverables while protecting Q2's profitability and business interests.
- Effectively manage objections, competitive situations, and complex B2B sales cycles.
- Convert qualified opportunities into signed contracts and successfully close new accounts.
- Ensure that agreements accurately reflect what was proposed, promised, and approved.
Client Relationship & Account Development
- Establish strong relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
- Maintain regular engagement throughout the sales cycle and ensure a smooth transition from prospect to active client.
- Work closely with internal delivery teams to ensure client expectations established during the sales process are properly communicated and understood.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion, additional services, renewals, and long‑term partnerships.
- Maintain a strong understanding of client business needs to identify future opportunities for Q2's HR solutions.
Market & Opportunity Development
- Research target industries, organizations, and market segments to identify potential business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, pricing, and developments within the HR, staffing, and outsourcing industry.
- Identify emerging client needs that may create opportunities for new or enhanced HR solutions.
- Recommend improvements to Q2's sales strategies, value propositions, and service offerings based on market feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date sales opportunities, activities, client information, and forecasts in the CRM.
- Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and closing.
- Provide accurate revenue forecasts and regular updates on pipeline health, sales performance, and expected closures.
- Track conversion rates, sales cycle progress, and other relevant business development metrics.
- Proactively identify stalled opportunities, risks, and bottlenecks and develop appropriate action plans.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Recruitment, HR, Operations, Finance, and other internal teams to develop commercially viable and operationally deliverable solutions.
- Facilitate effective sales‑to‑operations handovers by providing complete and accurate client requirements, agreed deliverables, timelines, pricing, and expectations.
