About the role
The Sales & Marketing Executive supports the Group's business growth through integrated sales, business development and demand-generation activities. You will identify and engage prospective clients, execute targeted marketing campaigns, qualify leads, conduct initial discovery, and manage assigned opportunities through solution development, costing, proposal, follow-up and client onboarding. You will work closely with the Operations, Engineering, Finance and Management teams to develop solutions that address clients' operational and commercial requirements.
Key responsibilities
Marketing and Demand Generation
- Develop and execute quarterly demand-generation plans and content calendars aligned with Group's business priorities and Ideal Customer Profiles.
- Create clear and on-brand marketing content, including case studies, one-page solution briefs, presentations, campaign materials and thought-leadership posts.
- Manage the company's LinkedIn page and coordinate approved employee-advocacy content.
- Develop lead magnets, landing pages and enquiry forms, and ensure that leads are properly routed to the CRM and followed up within the agreed response time.
- Develop and execute targeted email and LinkedIn campaigns for priority accounts and market segments.
- Coordinate webinars, site demonstrations, industry events and co-marketing activities with OEMs, system integrators and other business partners.
- Coordinate website updates with external vendors or agencies and maintain basic search-engine optimization standards.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze results and recommend improvements.
Lead Generation and Outbound Prospecting
- Research and identify prospective companies, decision-makers and key stakeholders within Group's target sectors.
- Build, maintain and prioritize named-account lists based on Group's Ideal Customer Profiles and business priorities.
- Conduct targeted outbound outreach through email, telephone and LinkedIn to generate interest and secure meetings.
- Respond promptly to inbound enquiries and qualify leads based on agreed criteria.
- Convert Marketing Qualified Leads into Sales Qualified Leads and progress suitable prospects into the sales pipeline.
- Develop professional relationships with prospective clients and identify their needs, priorities, decision-making processes and key stakeholders.
- Schedule discovery meetings and coordinate the involvement of relevant Operations, Engineering or Management representatives.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of prospecting activities, communications and follow-up actions in the CRM.
Business Development and Solution Development
- Conduct initial discovery discussions to understand prospective clients' operational challenges, requirements, budget considerations and desired outcomes.
- Map and prioritize potential market segments and identify suitable use cases for the Group's solutions.
- Work with the Operations and Engineering teams to develop suitable solutions, use cases and pilot programs.
- Assist in defining pilot objectives, scope, implementation requirements and success criteria.
- Gather the information required to develop appropriate solution designs, implementation plans and commercial proposals.
- Monitor market developments, competitor activities and industry trends to identify new opportunities and improve the Group's market positioning, solutions and sales approach.
Costing and Commercial Preparation
- Prepare detailed project costings and pricing schedules using approved costing models and templates.
- Identify and account for relevant costs, including manpower, equipment, software licenses, implementation, maintenance, vendor or subcontractor charges, and other recurring and one-time costs.
- Obtain and review quotations from vendors, subcontractors and business partners where required.
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Finance and relevant vendors to validate costing assumptions, resource requirements and implementation requirements.
- Review proposed pricing against approved margins, commercial requirements and internal pricing guidelines.
- Prepare alternative commercial or solution options where appropriate to address different client requirements or budgets.
- Ensure that all costing assumptions, exclusions, optional items, validity periods and client dependencies are clearly documented.
- Obtain the necessary internal approvals before submitting any pricing, quotation or commercial proposal to a client.
- Maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of all costing and pricing information.
Sales, Proposals and Tender Management
- Manage assigned sales opportunities through qualification, solution development, costing, proposal and follow-up.
- Prepare professional sales presentations, proposals, quotations and other client-facing sales documents.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of tender responses, including technical, operational and commercial requirements.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that proposals and tender submissions are accurate, complete, compliant and submitted on time.
- Track outstanding client requirements, clarifications, submissions and follow-up actions throughout the sales process.
- Present the Group's proposed solutions and commercial value clearly to prospective clients.
- Support commercial negotiations and the resolution of technical, operational or contractual clarifications.
- Assist in progressing assigned opportunities towards successful closure.
- Coordinate the handover and onboarding of successful accounts to the relevant Operations, Engineering and support teams.
Account Growth, Pipeline Management and Reporting
- Maintain relationships with assigned clients and identify potential opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling or additional solutions.
- Gather client and market feedback to improve the Group's solutions, sales materials and marketing messages.
- Maintain accurate opportunity stages, expected values, estimated close dates and next actions in the CRM.
- Maintain appropriate CRM data quality and documentation across the sales and marketing process.
- Prepare regular pipeline updates and sales forecasts.
- Participate in weekly pipeline reviews and other sales or business-development meetings.
- Track and report agreed sales, prospecting and marketing KPIs or OKRs.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective and existing clients.
About you
- Relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, lead generation or marketing
- Demonstrated confidence in prospecting and engaging prospective clients through telephone, email, LinkedIn and face-to-face meetings
- Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare professional presentations, proposals, reports and marketing content
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail, with the ability to prepare and review project costings, pricing schedules and commercial proposals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to maintain consistent prospecting and follow-up activities
- Organized and process-driven, with strong attention to detail, documentation and follow-through
- Able to manage multiple opportunities, campaigns and submission deadlines concurrently
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with Operations, Engineering, Finance and Management
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving business environment with evolving priorities
