Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of customer support, billing or subscription experience.
• Hands-on experience with subscription billing tasks (refunds, cancellations, plan changes, disputes).
• Familiarity with payment platforms and app-store purchases.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and cloud-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level billing and subscription support via email, ensuring timely responses.
• Resolve billing and subscription issues from start to finish, including plan changes and renewals.
• Investigate unrecognized charges, disputes and chargebacks.
• Support customers with promotions, free trials, discounts and usage-based billing.
• Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions and follow up to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot account access and plan recognition across web, mobile, and desktop.
• Provide empathetic, professional customer support via Zendesk and Intercom.
• Recognize sensitive contacts (privacy, legal, fraud, welfare) and escalate as needed.
• Maintain accuracy, productivity and satisfaction metrics; contribute to process improvements.
• Flag recurring issues and gaps in help content to the right teams.
• Support leadership and cross-functional teammates; act as Subject-Matter Expert in billing/subscriptions.
• Act as Interim Team Lead when the TL is out of the office.
