Our awesome client is a leading technology company headquartered in Australia that builds GPS and field positioning systems used across construction, agriculture, and industrial industries worldwide. They are looking for a Billing and Finance Associate to join their support team.
This is a dual role combining customer service and finance operations. You will be the go-to person for subscription and billing inquiries from both internal and external customers, while also handling reconciliation activities to ensure billing and financial data remain accurate.
Full training will be provided on the company's systems, including Zuora and Microsoft Dynamics 365, so prior experience with these platforms is not required. What matters is your hands-on experience with reconciliation, strong bookkeeping fundamentals, and confidence communicating with customers through phone and email.
Serve as the first point of contact for subscription and billing inquiries from customers and internal teams via phone and email.
Scan, review, and log incoming subscription invoices while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Support the full subscription lifecycle, including new sign-ups, renewals, amendments, and cancellations.
Reconcile subscription and billing data across multiple systems.
Process and review journal entries and clearing-account reversals.
Follow up on overdue invoices professionally while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Monitor renewal milestones and identify billing issues, escalating concerns to the appropriate team member before they become larger issues.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements as you gain familiarity with the role and systems.
Hands-on experience reconciling data between different systems, including the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate their causes, and follow issues through to resolution.
Strong customer service skills with clear, professional, and empathetic communication by phone and email.
Good bookkeeping fundamentals.
Strong Excel skills, particularly in environments where processes are still partially manual.
Ability to learn new systems, processes, and product knowledge quickly.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
Exposure to ERP or subscription billing platforms is an advantage but not required, as full training will be provided.
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Previous experience working in a subscription-based business or SaaS environment.
