About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender to join our team at Hospitality Innovators, Inc. in General Luna, Surigao del Norte. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. As a Bartender, you will be at the heart of our hospitality operations, crafting quality beverages and engaging with customers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the bar and beverage service sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, spirits, beer, wine and soft drinks, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink
• Maintain an extensive knowledge of drink recipes, ingredients, flavour profiles and current beverage trends to provide expert recommendations to customers
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, process payments and manage cash handling with precision and integrity
• Keep the bar area clean, organised and well-stocked with all necessary supplies, glassware and equipment throughout your shift
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders accurately and providing excellent customer service to enhance their experience
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures and responsible alcohol service practices
• Collaborate with fellow team members, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding stock requirements and potential wastage
• Maintain composure and professionalism in busy periods, managing multiple customer requests simultaneously

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Bartender in a hospitality setting, ideally in a busy bar, restaurant or hotel environment
• Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation techniques, including shaking, stirring, layering and muddling, as well as familiarity with classic and contemporary cocktail recipes
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse clientele
• Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately
• Sound understanding of responsible alcohol service and relevant legal requirements
• Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from management
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Preferred: Certification in responsible beverage service or bartending qualification
• Preferred: Experience in an upscale or themed hospitality venue
• Preferred: Fluency in multiple languages to assist diverse guest populations
