About the role

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items while delivering excellent customer service. This role involves maintaining high standards of product quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. The Barista ensures that every guest receives prompt, friendly, and personalized service while maintaining the operational standards of the café.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service
• Engage customers in a positive manner, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, blended beverages, and other café menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Ensure the consistent quality of all beverages and food items served
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, preparation areas, and dining areas
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately
• Process cash, credit card, and other transactions while ensuring accuracy and accountability
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth café operations
• Support the Events Lead and Marketing Team by participating in off-site events, pop-ups, catering services, and promotional activities

About you
