Job summary

Kitchen City is seeking an experienced Authentic Chinese Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will master authentic Chinese dishes, use traditional techniques, and uphold stringent food safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will prepare ingredients, execute stir-fry and wok cooking, monitor quality and portions, and collaborate with the team to ensure timely service and menu development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes according to recipes and company specifications.

• Ensure dishes meet taste, quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, marinating, and seasoning as required.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control throughout preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and workstations in line with food safety regulations.
• Store food items using FIFO inventory practices.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report shortages to supervisor.
• Minimize waste and maximize efficient use of ingredients.
• Follow company policies, health regulations, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation, especially during peak hours.
• Assist with menu development and seasonal dish suggestions.
