Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience with GL reconciliation, financial statements, and taxation.
• Experience with Philippine tax regulations and statutory compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform GL reconciliation ensuring accuracy and integrity across financial records.
• Manage accounts payable processes including invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and payments.
• Assist in tax return preparation and filing in line with BIR regulations.
• Support month-end and year-end close including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
• Review payment requests and supporting docs for accuracy/compliance.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal/external audits.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
• Review and guide junior accounting staff.

About the role

Assistant Accounting Manager to support the Accounting Manager in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, with a focus on general ledger reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and tax compliance. Key responsibilities

• Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliation, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across all financial records
• Manage accounts payable (AP) processes, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and payment runs
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports, ensuring compliance with BIR regulations
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
• Review payment requests and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audit requirements
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve accounting and reconciliation concerns
• Review and guide the work of junior accounting staff

About you

• Retail industry and/or FMCG background required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, with direct exposure to GL reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and taxation
• Working knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements
• Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Excel
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving business environment
