Job summary

PGP Asia Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls in compliance with Philippine tax and accounting rules.

You will supervise staff, manage GL, AR/AP, inventory costing, and bank reconciliations while coordinating with external tax providers. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance, 3–5 years in a similar field, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in trading/import/distribution or inventory-based businesses.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Statements, General Ledger, AR/AP, inventory accounting, COGS, and bank reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of Philippine BIR taxation and corporate tax compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• CPA is an advantage but not required; experience with import landed-cost accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Maintain General Ledger, AR/AP, and bank records; monitor receivables/payables and aging.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash position reports; monitor COGS and inventory costing.
• Coordinate with external BIR service provider for tax filing and compliance.
• Establish internal controls for payments, collections, cash, inventory, and documents.
• Supervise Accounting Department staff and ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.

About the role

The Accounting Manager will manage and supervise the day-to-day accounting operations of the Company, overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with Philippine accounting and tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the day-to-day accounting operations of the Company
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
• Maintain accurate General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and bank records
• Monitor customer receivables, supplier payables, aging schedules, and collections
• Perform and review bank reconciliations and cash position reports
• Maintain proper inventory accounting and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), including imported goods and landed costs
• Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation between accounting records and warehouse stock reports
• Prepare and review BIR tax schedules and coordinate with the Company's external BIR service provider for tax filing and compliance
• Establish and maintain proper internal controls for payments, collections, cash, inventory, and accounting documents
• Supervise Accounting Department staff and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in trading, importation, distribution, FMCG, rice/food, or other inventory-based businesses
• Strong experience in Financial Statements, General Ledger, AR/AP, inventory accounting, COGS, and bank reconciliation
• Working knowledge of Philippine BIR taxation and corporate tax compliance
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Detail-oriented, trustworthy, organized, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Capable of supervising accounting staff and reporting directly to Management
• CPA is an advantage but not required
• Experience in import landed-cost accounting is an advantage
• Experience using accounting software; QNE or similar cloud accounting software is an advantage
