Job summary

AnchorEd in Manila is seeking a Treasury and General Ledger Manager to oversee treasury operations and general ledger activities, ensuring accurate cash management, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

You will maintain bank relationships, monitor cash flow, coordinate with signatories, and support audits and monthly financial reporting, while guiding the Treasury Admin Associate to ensure timely and accurate accounting records.

AnchorEd - Treasury and General Ledger Manager

Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate management of treasury operations and general ledger activities, supporting effective cash management, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for maintaining strong banking relationships, monitoring cash flow and transactions, ensuring accurate accounting records, and supporting audit and financial reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury

• Maintain good relationships with the banks; negotiate banking fees, interest rates, and terms to optimize financial services.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations for all accounts and payment gateways in Xero.
• Coordinate with the bank and billing team for bounced customer checks, unidentified deposits, and other collection issues.
• Ensure proper coordination with signatories for check routing or online bank approvals.
• Prepare weekly cash position reports to determine entity cash requirements.
• Analyze and recommend deployment of excess cash to suitable investment outlets (Time Deposits, UITF, etc.).
• Supervise and train the Treasury Admin Associate.
• Oversee daily treasury operations including PDC monitoring, bank transactions, check printing via the CheckWrite System, online banking activities, issuance of ORs, check release, and BIR Form 2307, and securing invoices/official receipts from vendors.
• Assist and participate in internal and external audits. Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and systems.
• Assist the Financial Controller in financial analysis, bank reconciliation, planning, and reporting. Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
  General Ledger:
• Ensure daily transactions are encoded in Xero accounting system.
• Assist the Financial Reporting and Compliance Manager with the preparation of financial statements to ensure all accruals, provisions and reversal entries are posted on a timely manner.
• Assist the Financial Reporting and Compliance Manager in ensuring that general ledger balances are updated monthly for the preparation of month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Ensure AP and AR aging (including receivables from employees) are updated on the general ledger and matched with schedules from Sr. Disbursement officer and Billing and collections team, respectively.
• Work closely with the Compliance officer to ensure that the quarterly financial statements match with BIR and reportorial submissions.
• Work with the Compliance officer to Update the tax balances on the ledger before filing of tax returns
• Work with Sr. Payroll and Treasury officer to ensure all transactions are recorded on a timely manner.
• Assist the Financial Reporting and Compliance Manager in preparing audit schedules during the conduct of external audits of annual year-end financial report to come up with Audited Financial Statements.
