Job summary

BUNCH is a modern outsourcing house in the Philippines seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance department from our Cavite office. You will oversee daily financial operations, drive the month-end close, and partner with HR on payroll and statutory filings.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled automation, cross-functional collaboration, and a hands-on approach to building a compliant, efficient finance function. 7+ years in finance with audit and month-end close experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field; CPA is advantageous.
• 7+ years in finance and accounting, including 3–4 years in audit and 2 years responsible for month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax and statutory requirements including BIR filings and government remittances.
• Experience reviewing payroll prepared by an HR team.
• Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations in a multi-currency group.
• Experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting system.
• Advanced Google Sheets and Google Workspace.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools in finance such as Claude Code, Gemini or Google AI Studio; core requirement of the role.
• Exposure to Hong Kong reporting or audit requirements is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily finance operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and GL.
• Run the month-end close and issue monthly financial reports on fixed deadlines.
• Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts and funding plans; explain variances against budget.
• Handle tax and statutory compliance: BIR filings, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG remittances.
• Review payroll before release; collaborate with HR on contributions and deductions.
• Coordinate external audits and tax examinations.
• Maintain internal controls with proper supporting documents.
• Apply AI-first approach to automate reconciliation, reporting and documentation.
• Supervise and develop one accountant.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field
