BUNCH is a modern outsourcing house specialised in serving high-growth tech companies. We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily finance operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and the general ledger.
- Run the month-end close and issue the monthly financial reports on a fixed deadline every month.
- Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts and funding plans, and explain variances against budget.
- Handle tax and statutory compliance: BIR filings, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG remittances, and the documents that support each filing.
- Review payroll before release, working with HR on statutory contributions, final pay and loan deductions.
- Coordinate external audits and tax examinations.
- Keep internal controls in place and make sure every transaction has proper supporting documents.
- Apply an "AI First" approach in finance, using AI tools to automate reconciliation, reporting and documentation, so that people spend their time on judgement and not on repetitive work.
- Supervise and develop one accountant.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field. CPA is an advantage.
- At least seven years in finance and accounting, including three to four years in audit (external, internal or both) and two years responsible for a month-end close.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine tax and statutory requirements, including BIR filings and government remittances.
- Experience reviewing payroll prepared by an HR team.
- Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations in a group with more than one company and more than one currency.
- Experience in Xero, or a similar cloud accounting system.
- Advanced Google Sheets and Google Workspace.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in finance or accounting work, such as Claude Code, Gemini or Google AI Studio. This is a core requirement of the role, not an advantage.
- Exposure to Hong Kong reporting or audit requirements is an advantage.
Qualities:
- Resourceful and tech-savvy, able to learn new software and platforms quickly.
- Strong attention to detail, organised and disciplined.
- Able to hold a position on a control issue with senior management.
- Clear communicator in writing and in person, including with people who are not accountants.
- Proven ability to work autonomously.
Work Structure and Reporting:
This role is office-based. The Finance Manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and works with one accountant, with HR on payroll and with the admin team on purchasing.
If you want to build a finance function properly, with the tools and the authority to do it, we want to hear from you.
