Environmental-Health Laboratory Services Cooperative is seeking a Procurement and Inventory Officer to manage the quarterly and monthly release of supplies, process purchase orders, and maintain precise records for accountability.
The role covers permits renewal, coordination of office and building maintenance, driver scheduling, policy updates, and continuous improvement of procurement and inventory processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Process the quarterly and monthly release and distribution of all supplies to departments, and maintains accurate records of all items released for proper monitoring and accountability.
2. Prepares and processes Purchase Orders and coordinates with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of requested items.
3. Maintains accurate records of supplies, property, and inventory movements to ensure proper accountability and documentation.
4. Processes and monitors the renewal of administrative and laboratory permits to ensure timely compliance with applicable requirements.
5. Coordinates and process office and building repairs and maintenance to ensure that facilities and equipment remain functional and properly maintained.
6. Monitors and assigns driver schedules based on approved activities and operational requirements to ensure adequate transportation support.
7. Implements and maintains Materials acquisitions policies and Repair and Maintenance policies by regularly reviewing and updating them to reflect current practices and legal requirements.
8. Maintains and organizes relevant documents and records related to procurement, inventory, permits, property, maintenance, and other administrative functions.
9. Recommends improvements in procurement, inventory, property, and administrative processes to promote efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned by the immediate superior or as required by operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related course
At least 6 months of experience in procurement, inventory, or property management;
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory software;
Strong negotiation, organizational, and recordkeeping skills;
