Be one of the first in. Real finance work. Finished by early afternoon.
Two things you should know up front.
One: you’ll be finished by early afternoon. Every day. No graveyard shift, ever.
Two: you’ll be one of the first people through the door. We’re a financial services group standing up our own team in Manila, and the receivables function here is being built from nothing. You won’t be agent number 400 in somebody’s processing pool — you’ll be one of a handful of people who set how this actually runs.
The work is real finance work, not keying. Payments and allocations, reconciliations, credit control, broker and customer accounts, month-end. You’ll own your ledger, and you’ll deal directly with the people behind the numbers.
If you’ve been doing good AR work inside a large team where nobody particularly notices, this is the opposite of that.
What you’ll actually be doing
- Processing and allocating customer, broker and other receivable payments — accurately, and on time, every day
- Banking, payment runs, refunds, and the transactions that sit around them
- Chasing what’s owed: monitoring outstanding balances and running credit control and collections
- Following up customers and brokers on overdue payments, missing information, and anything left unresolved on an account
- Matching and reconciling transactions, and digging into anything that doesn’t add up until it does
- Preparing and sending statements, payment reminders and account correspondence
- Processing invoices, cancellations, payment plans and the rest of the receivables transactions
- Keeping the records straight — in the finance system, in the spreadsheets, and in the supporting documentation
- Taking incoming calls and enquiries about accounts and payments, and handling them like a professional
- Supporting month-end, year-end and the periodic finance work that comes with them
- Pitching in on accounts payable, staff expense processing and general finance admin when it’s needed
- Working with the team in the parent business to get account and payment issues resolved properly
This is you
- You’ve done accounts receivable properly — allocations, reconciliations, credit control, collections, the lot
- You’re accurate, and you notice when something doesn’t reconcile before anybody else has to point it out
- You can chase an overdue account firmly without damaging the relationship
- You’re organised enough to handle recurring deadlines without being reminded about them
- Strong Excel, and comfortable working inside a finance or accounting system and a banking platform
- Your English is strong on the phone and in writing — you’ll be dealing with overseas customers and brokers directly
- You can work independently. In a team this size, nobody is going to hover over you, and you won’t want them to
- You’re genuinely reliable about the early start. If that doesn’t fit your life, this role will make you miserable — and we’d rather you knew that now
- Insurance, broking or financial services
- Supporting a parent business or client in a different time zone
- Experience in a shared services or offshore finance team
- Solid month-end and year-end experience
What we’re offering
- PHP 35,000 – 45,000 per month, depending on experience
- 10% night differential on every hour you work before 6:00 AM, paid on top — as the law requires
- 13th month pay on top of your monthly salary
- HMO coverage after 30 days — not after six months of probation
- 10 days paid leave a year
- Gym membership after 30 days
- A modern serviced office in Ortigas Center, fully fitted out with all equipment provided. You won’t be sourcing desks or chasing IT
- An early finish every day, and no graveyard shift, ever
What it’s like here
- We’re new, we’re small, and we’re still working out what this place feels like. That’s rather the point — you get a say in it instead of inheriting somebody else’s.
- A team small enough that everyone knows what everyone else is working on, and small enough that your work actually gets seen
- Team events and socials — and we do them, rather than talk about doing them
- Birthdays, work anniversaries and hitting targets get marked properly, not quietly ignored
- Coffee and tea on site, which matters more than you’d think at this hour
- Real room to grow as the site scales. The people who are here early are the ones who grow with it
About the shift — read this bit properly
- This is a morning shift with a genuinely early start, and we’d rather you knew now than found out at offer stage.
- Start time is 4:00 AM or 5:00 AM, depending on the time of year
- Eight hours a day, 40 hours a week — so you’re done by early afternoon
- Every hour before 6:00 AM carries the 10% night differential, paid on top of your salary
- You’ll need to sort your own commute at that hour, and we’ve pitched the salary with that in mind. Think honestly about the trip from where you live before you apply
- In return: your afternoons are genuinely yours, and you’ll never sit in evening traffic
