Job summary

GECO Asia Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee daily AP operations within a Shared Services environment. You will manage invoice processing, payments, supplier reconciliations, and month-end close while leading AP Team Leaders.

The role emphasizes process improvements, compliance with internal controls, and collaboration with Business Units, Procurement, and Master Data Management to resolve queries and optimize cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting, with supervisory experience.
• Experience in Shared Services or BPO environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Above-average communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
• Ability to work in a structured environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly AP activities.
• Establish, monitor, and evaluate team KPIs to meet targets.
• Coordinate with ERP specialists on AP and payment processes.
• Oversee processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
• Review and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Ensure expense reports are validated against receipts.
• Collaborate with Business Units, Procurement, and MDM to resolve queries.
• Address three-way matching discrepancies with Supply Chain.
• Drive reduction of unvalidated and overdue invoices.
• Lead AP-related items in the Cashbook and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Review payment batches and apply prepayments and notes correctly.
• Monitor purchasing accruals and perform account clean-up.
• Reconcile supplier statements and verify balances.
