Job summary

Handyman Do it Best Philippines is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a critical finance function and ensure timely payments and strong controls. The role oversees end-to-end AP processes, vendor relationships, and internal controls across the organization.

The successful candidate will manage a team, drive process improvements, and partner with Procurement, Operations, and Treasury to support business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy; CPA is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience with AP and team supervision.
• Strong knowledge of AP operations, reconciliations, and controls.
• Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the full AP cycle: processing, approvals, disbursements, and liability management.
• Manage vendor relationships, resolve payment concerns, coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain and Treasury.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, policies and internal controls.
• Oversee AP reporting, reconciliations, month-end closing, and audit support requirements.
• Lead, develop and mentor the AP team while driving improvements and automation.

As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, manage vendor relationships, strengthen compliance and internal controls, and drive continuous process improvements to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the full Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice processing, payment approvals, disbursements, and liability management.
• Manage vendor relationships, resolve payment concerns, and coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, and Treasury teams.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, company policies, and internal control requirements.
• Oversee AP reporting, reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and audit support requirements.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the Accounts Payable team while driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and performance excellence.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy; CPA designation is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with significant exposure to Accounts Payable and team supervision.
• Strong knowledge of AP operations, reconciliations, financial controls, month-end closing, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
