Job summary

Hungry Treats Express Food Corp. is seeking an experienced accounting supervisor to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting functions. The role includes overseeing month-end close, reconciliations, payroll, and regulatory filings in a dynamic retail/food service setting.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, strengthen internal controls, and maintain meticulous financial records while ensuring compliance with BIR and government remittances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field required.
• Accounting supervisory experience required.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Hands-on experience in BIR compliance and government remittances.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, AP, payroll, and bank reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bookkeeping, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Review accounting entries and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee supplier payments, liquidations, reimbursements, and fund requirements.
• Review payroll and ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Ensure timely BIR filings and government remittances.
• Review bank and inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor permits, licenses, and regulatory deadlines.
• Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of financial and compliance documents.
• Supervise accounting staff and review their work before finalization.
• Strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
