About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounting Supervisor to oversee the company's general accounting operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, sales performance monitoring, and inventory accounting. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, timely reporting, effective internal controls, and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting and tax regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily accounting transactions, general ledger, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee supplier invoices, payment processing, account reconciliation, and ensure timely and accurate settlement of company obligations.
- Monitor customer accounts, credit balances, aging of receivables, and ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of customer transactions.
- Supervise collection activities, monitor overdue accounts, coordinate with sales and branch personnel, and implement effective collection strategies to improve cash flow.
- Prepare and analyze sales performance reports, monitor sales targets and actual achievements, validate sales transactions, and provide management with timely sales and financial analysis.
- Monitor inventory balances, conduct reconciliation of physical and book inventories, analyze inventory variances, and ensure proper recording of inventory movements, costing, and adjustments.
- Ensure timely submission of financial, tax, and regulatory reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards and government requirements.
- Implement and maintain effective accounting procedures, safeguard company assets, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements in accounting and financial processes.
- Lead, train, and evaluate accounting personnel to ensure accuracy, productivity, accountability, and compliance with company policies.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collection management, and inventory accounting.
- Experience in sales reporting, financial analysis, and inventory reconciliation.
- Knowledge of Philippine tax regulations, BIR compliance, and applicable accounting standards.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
